Lovely lunch midweek, with friendly staff. The ambience was pleasant, and the food very good. My father's steak just right, and my sea bream nicely done. Good value and service. The only slight niggle is with the upholstery, some of which is looking in need of a clean.

First time here a week ago with friends, my husband loved it so much came back this week with family. Just as good food great. Service good . Will definitely be back

I was surprised to find out I was going to the QA for food as I thought it had shut down years ago. It was a Sunday evening, food was really nice, staff were very pleasant and helpful and it didn't leave a massive dent in your pocket. 10 of us were very pleased and we will be going again. I will let others know it's still going strong.

Very tasty food, lovely service, reasonably priced and a great atmosphere

Visited last night with a friend for a birthday meal, she had previously been on a few occasions but was my first visit. I loved everything! The atmosphere was warm and cosy and i loved the Christmas decorations. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I had the chicken and avocado salad for starter and it was lovely followed by the mushroom risotto that was amazing! (Have wanted it again all day today) I can't remember the last time we had such a brilliant experience eating out. I highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Parking: Parking was easy on site, but we did visit mid week and I'm certain the pub would be much busier on weekends

Randomly found this gastropub close to an AirBnB we were staying. It was a late lunch but we were hungry. The service was prompt and polite, by the end more friendly too (probably because we're quite friendly people) The pub was fairly quiet, maybe five other tables with eating customers. Food was presented beautifully. Slightly lacked flavour, but nothing that a sprinkle of salt didn't fix. Fairly priced for what it was, not just run of the mill pub food. Extra bonus was the creme brulee dessert. We had over heard there was only one left and saw someone ordered and eaten it. However, not being one to miss an opportunity for a joke, I told the waitress about wanting the last creme brulee and was told they had made a mistake earlier, and we could indeed have one. Delicious, with a side of shortbread biscuit. All in all, would recommend. Not a loud boisterous pub but a warm and friendly place where locals are clearly very happy to frequent Parking: Was lunchtime but plenty of parking in their private parking lot

Really enjoyed my experience here. Very easy to get hold of on the phone, table booked without issue. Promptly sat to our table and provided water without having to ask 👍🏿. Drinks order taken and brought back quickly. Just enough time given to look over the menu, although I'd already decided before I left home what I'd like. Really good flavour to the wings, first place in a while where I've been given a finger bowl. My wife's starter looked good and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Main course was really enjoyable. T bone steak was beautiful, cooked as requested, really good flavour to the meat, peppercorn sauce was lovely. Too much salt on the chips for my liking but it didn't take away from a very expertly cooked steak. Artichokes on a pizza were new but went down very well. Enjoyed being able to eat and chat without feeling like we needed to leave or they needed to give our table to someone else. Very relaxed and warm vibe in the restaurant. Will definitely recommend and will hopefully be coming back in the future. Vegetarian options: Good selection Parking: Not much

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! The food was delicious - from starters to desserts. Every single type of food we've ordered was just an explosion of flavour: carrot soup so creamy and fluffy (never thought we would eat a carrot soup), the rib-eye steak so tender and juicy, the cheesecake was melting in our mouths... We got lucky, cause today they also had live music (I think they have it every Saturday). Joshua just blew us away with his beautiful voice and piano play 😍 Thank you Wood Grill Team 👏👏👏for such a wonderful evening. We couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate our wedding anniversary (and we only got there accidentally 😁) Definitely will return!

The restaurant deco is modern, chics with warm ambience. The service is attentive, polite, not rushing you to leave. The food in my opinion is just average. We give 3 stars overall because service is good but food is slightly let down. We had scallop for starter, Salmon and BBQ chicken for main course. Scallop was sweet, fresh and tender. It would have been perfect had the seasoning less salty. Salmon was ok but needed more pesto sauce to balance the dish. The sauce almost dried out. Chicken was the most disappointed. I expected to have free range but the chicken tasted like a standard chicken from super market.
